The Last Kiss

Saw a movie today "The Last Kiss", a point made by one of the character set me thinking for the day "If you dont give up, you will not fail". So I thought why not make it the first blog as my title itself says that I am a Hopeful Romantic .

I heard someone say today there is no Hope ... considering the vagaries and unpredictable life we live in...I would say there is always hope .... if not of what you wanted..but something beyond your imagination .... thats the blessing of life itself.

Something which gives me hope at the most miserable times of my life is a poem ..not sure who wrote it ...but feel it has been written for me

“I asked God for strength that I might achieve.

I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health that I might do greater things.

I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy.

I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have the praise of men.

I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.

I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for.

Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.

I am, among all men, most richly blessed.”

So guys, when life gives you a raw deal ... just hang on ...hope is around the corner waiting with a bounty ..
